Boca Wedding - Our Reel Life Chapter 40
WEDDING IN BOCA RATON
AT THE ADDISON
We are both artists. We create a lot of personal work, but are often hired by others to create photographs and films as well. This is Our Reel Life, a weekly web series that allows you to get to know us as people. We are optimistic, independent designers, and we do all of this for the love of art. Join us on our journey, and reach out to us for all things creative.
We were back in Connecticut for a couple of days, and then it was back down to South Florida for a destination wedding in Boca Raton. We always love photographing or filming destination weddings as it allows us to escape the cold of New England.
We have photographed a lot of weddings that require travel, and one thing we have learned is that you have to leave a couple of days early simply because you can't predict the weather in the Northeast.
The great part is that it allows us the opportunity to focus on our personal projects like creating fashion films and content for the Charlee Fine Art Fashion line. So, we flew in early, packed a suitcase full of dresses, leggings, scarfs, and skirts and spend a full day creating together. As a married couple, this is how we play together, and we have a lot of fun with it.
In South Beach we stayed at The Shelborne on the north end. The hotel was beautiful, had a great pool, food, and access to the beach so it was a perfect spot. We didn't realize it but Spring Break was starting so it was a pretty busy time.
There was a front coming in, so most didn't take to the beach. We were psyched about that because it meant we had the whole beach to ourselves. The clouds, wind, and occasional rain show made for unique visuals within our films.
Next up we headed north to Boca Raton and checked into a hotel close to our wedding venue. The ceremony and reception were at The Addison in Boca Raton. We are on the preferred vendor list there, and it's a gorgeous place for weddings and events. The day with our couple ran flawlessly, and we are in the middle of editing their films now. Can't wait to share with them! Congratulations to Katherine and Aylwin on their wedding, and thank you for the opportunity to create something so special for your wedding day. It was an honor!
That's a wrap on this week of Our Reel Life. We are still in Florida, but headed back up to the Northeast for another event in New York City. We hear snow is in the forecast, so stay tuned for more.
