Celebrities Celebrate NYFW in Photos
Watch as celebrity photographer Charles Maring of Maring Visuals captures celebrities having fun at New York Fashion Week with a Lumix G7 in 4K Photo Mode.
NYFW is going on, and we spent a couple of days of the event creating some festive portraits of celebrities at the Panasonic Beauty Bar located at Arrojo Salon in NYC. Panasonic is a very unique and creative company. Not only do they make state of the art camera technologies, televisions, etc... but they also have a creative line of beauty products such as hair dryers, curling irons, facial steamers, razors, cleansing devices, and other unique technologically advanced beauty products as well.
As artists who are sponsored Panasonic Lumix Luminaries, our assignment was to create a fun make-shift studio environment and capture creative portraits of celebrities and fashionistas after they got all dolled up and ready to hit the runway shows at fashion week. We decided that party poppers would be a fun because we knew the expressions would be off the charts and it would create a celebration style atmosphere. We photographed everyone using a new feature found on the latest Lumix cameras called 4K Photo Mode. Check out the video to the right to learn more about how 4K Photo works.
4K Photo is unlike anything you have probably ever seen, and it's one the best way to capture moving subjects. There are 3 4K Photo options shared in the above video. The process is simple... For these photos we used 4K Burst Mode. We hit the record button, captured the action, and then hit stop recording a high resolution video clip... Simultaneously, we also just captured thirty 8 megapixel photographs for every second of kept recording! The cool part is that you can actually scrub the video clip and pick your favorite moment right on the camera and save it as a still photograph. Now, you can wifi that perfect moment to your smart phone for your social feed if you wish, and also have the image and the video clip to use, when you get back to your computer as well.
