Fashion Week - Our Reel Life - Episode 6
The past week has been the start of a whirlwind. Every fall we are on the edge of our seats pushing through a massive amount of work, and doing whatever it takes to meet our deadlines and obligations. We are asked all the time, how do you guys manage to get along as husband and wife working together so close and so hard... The truth is that you have to have a sense of humor.

New York Fashion Week...
In this episode we highlight our assignment at NYFW working with both the Panasonic Beauty team and the camera division. They team up with Arroyo Salon downtown in NYC creating a fun experience for celebrities, fashionistas, bloggers, and media. Click here to check out our NYFW post here on Together In Style and see how much fun the experience was. You can also learn more about 4K Photo in the post, which is an exciting new technology in the latest Lumix Cameras. There is more to NYFW than runway shows. Entire teams of people are behind the scenes making it happen. Our assignment to capture celebrity portraits in a unique way is far more fun than being in the pit of runway photographers. As you can see we enjoyed this creative time, and especially the fun and laughter that our party popper idea created.
The Wrong Cab
We've all done it... On a hot NYC day, we hailed the wrong cab. If smellavision existed you would be in for a rude awakening. It's just part of living and working in New York, this isn't the first time this has happened, and it most certainly won't be the last. I also forgot my phone, and was unplugged for over 24 hours. Haven't done that in a while. It was actually quite liberating, maybe I should unplug more often!
The Norwood Club
We belong to an exclusive artist social club in NYC, which we frequent. It's a great place to have amazing dinners, designer cocktails, and socialize with other leaders in the New York art world. This week all the art in the house changed, which happens each year. The new collection curated by Brian Maloney and Cheryl Hazan is simply stunning. We stopped in to attend the unveiling party which was a lot of fun.
The Lotte New York Palace Hotel
One of our favorite hotels in NYC, has a new owner and they just unveiled the new name with a lovely reception in the courtyard. We not only frequent The Lotte New York Palace as guests, but we have also photographed several amazing weddings on the property. We enjoy this hotel because it has an elegant and lavish vibe, but is also extremely friendly, which is a unique balance. We were invited to the unveiling and it was great to catch up with some other friends and industry leaders at the event as well.
Well it's back to work now. Jennifer has two weddings to photograph this weekend, and I have several commercial, and personal projects to complete. In this industry you just have to keep moving forward in order to have continued success.
