Thanksgiving Feast Recipes
Jennifer Maring's Ultimate Thanksgiving Feast
With the fall colors getting closer and closer to peaking it has us thinking about Thanksgiving, and the feast ahead. Last year we posted a "week of Thanksgiving" filled with great recipes, and decor ideas. We have some great ideas in store to share again as the Holiday gets even closer. But, we thought for this #MealtimeMonday we would look back and share last years spread since it was just so perfect.
Thanksgiving Turkey Recipe
It doesn't get better than my Lemon Roasted Turkey recipe, so this will be hard to top. When you cook a Turkey this way it is moist and delicious inside, but it is also eye catching because the golden colors are radiant making it the ultimate centerpiece for your Thanksgiving meal. Sweet Potato Leek Soup Recipe
Make your table festive by creating bowls out of squash, and filling them with my Sweet Potato Leek Soup Recipe. After coming in from the cold of your hometown Thanksgiving football game, this is the best way to warm up your body and your appetite. Here is a link to my Sweet Potato Leek Soup Thanksgiving Recipe.
Holiday Salad Dressing Recipe
Keep the salad simple, but add an amazing homemade salad dressing. The best part is that you can make this the day before if you wish, but there is nothing better than the taste of home when you are at the Thanksgiving table. Give it a try, your sure to bring it back at Christmas or another heartwarming holiday. Here is a link to my homemade Holiday Salad Dressing Recipe.
New York Style Candied Roasted Nuts
If you walk the streets of New York you can't help but pass the smell of vendors roasting nuts on the sidewalk. That brings me my New York state of mind this time of year, and I love to create yummy take away treats for everybody who comes over for Thanksgiving dinner. Here is my recipe for Candied Roasted Nuts, which are a perfect gift.
Thanksgiving Decorations
Last year we had a big feast with family and friends, and I always try to think about ways to decorate and make the holidays extra special and heartwarming. Below are some other dishes I cooked up along with the visuals of how I added simple touches to the dining room to make our spread as festive as possible. Wishing you a blessed fall, and wonderful Thanksgiving. We aren't sure just yet what our plans will be for this coming Thanksgiving holiday, but look out for more Thanksgiving posts as the big day draws near.
