It's an artist life I lead, no to me it's not a game, and I put every dollar back into our work trying to keep the dream alive. My latest single, 430 is the soundtrack for this adventure, and it paints a picture, "no pun intended" of what it is like to be an artist. A lot of people think artists are either starving, or come from wealth. And, yes that is often the case, but we have been breaking that mold, and breaking through for 25 years and counting. To say it's easy would be a lie, but we are living proof that is possible to act on your dreams, and see them through to fruition.
We count our blessings every single day, and are honored and thankful to all of our clients, sponsors, and fans who give us the opportunity to lead such a creative lifestyle. This is a big part of the reason we feel compelled to share our personal story and journey. We hope this helps make us relatable, and also hope it inspires others to see that it is possible to succeed in the arts if you work hard and apply everything you learn each and every day.
Join us on another adventure in creativity above as we create photographs, oil paintings, music, animation, and more in this chapter of our lives which takes us from Connecticut to Las Vegas. Thank you to all who joined us at WPPI for a Photo-Walk to learn from us! We can say, humbly of course, that we are past grand award winners of the International photography awards, and also have also garnered 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place awards from WPPI as well. This year we were both judges at the awards instead, and we want to congratulate the winners. Being a judge is better than competing IMO because we get to really study the best photographic work from every corner of the world, and we have come back inspired ourselves. We never stop learning and growing, and we build upon our past successes and experiences to become the artists we are meant to be.
All the best... Charles and Jennifer
PS... In regards to the new Fender Twin Tonemaster Amplifiers…
I know... Many musicians out there are old school, and prefer a tube amp for that sweet vintage sound. I think we all agree on that sound. However, consider this before you judge modern tech... When I went digital on the photography front all the top pros said it was a fad, and would never take off. Boy did they eat their words! Now, the digital advantages exceed film in every way, and good luck finding a film photographer... And, even if you did, why would you want one when you now now the advantages of digital? This is the future of guitars and amps, mark my words. The good news is that, just as in photography, this technology will never replace the heart and soul of a musician. But, it most definitely will make our lives a little easier, and probably save our backs in the long run.
